“A ‘high-need school’ is an elementary or secondary school that meets one of the 3 tests"

1. 40% or more of the enrolled students are eligible for free and reduced lunch subsidies or Is otherwise eligible, without receipt of a waiver, to operate as a school wide program under Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act

2. 3. Attrition rate among classroom teachers was 15% or more in the last 3 school years…”

You can search the list of high-need schools:

https://www.tcli.ed.gov/CBSWebApp/tcli/ click on and you will see: SEARCH

In order to view a list of all high-need schools in a state, for example, “Ohio,” choose Ohio from the “Choose a State” pull down menu.

- To view the list of all high-need schools in a particular county, for example, “Lucas,” choose the state, Ohio, from “Choose a State,” and type

“Lucas%” in the “Location” text box. *** The “%” sign allows you to search for all the school districts in Lucas***

- You may also search for all schools in a particular school district. Note: This search is tricky (I advise you do a state search to find the exact lettering of how your school district is listed). For example, in order to see a list of schools in the Toledo Public School District, you would choose

Ohio from “Choose a State,” and type “Lucas/Toledo City SD” in the “Location” text box.
~ Note: School Districts may not be inclusive of all schools in the city. For example, Toledo is comprised of Toledo City School District, Parochial schools, and various charter schools.

Interested in learning more about your specific school? Check out their Report Card: http://webapp2.ode.state.oh.us/reportcard/archives/Default.asp

Look to see your school’s designation (on front cover), percentage of students at or above the proficient level, and a profile of your school’s students (page 3) and more.
